Madrid amat men-disappointed

Finally i find time to blog about my first euro trip with my friends to Spain + Portugal dated 4th june - 11th june. Our first stop was at germany. We had a night stay in Zur Morshbach hotel before a flight transit to Madrid the next day. Our only solution to avoid pulling off a night at frankfurt airport is by spending 20+ euros at this luxurious hotel. Oucchh!

I was attracted by this sign when i first entered Madrid. It says No Pasar.

After checked in at Cat's hostel, we went to berjalan-jalan.

There is this canggih punya elevators here :

Then, we managed to catch some night views near the palace - Palacio Real De Madrid.

And there is this Musio Cathedral located beside the palace.

The next day, our first stop was to the Plaza De Toro, having an aim to get some tickets for the bull fight show. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to know that all tickets were sold out at around 12pm that time.

Can you recognize us? Leave me a comment at the end of the post okay?

Bullfighting
- The tradition, as it is practiced today, involves professional toreros (also referred to as toreadors in English), who execute various formal moves with the intent, during various phases of the fight, of distracting, angering, or causing injury to the bull itself. Such maneuvers are performed at close range, and can result in injury or even death of the performer. The bullfight often concludes with the death of the bull by a well-placed sword thrust as the finale. (source taken from wiki)

One cucuk the bull kena gg-ied :

For the first thought, bull fight can be really interesting. But 6 repeated simalar acts can be boring though. Many choose not to watch because they think that it is very cruel to kill the bull eventually. Bull fight only becomes interesting when something 'bad' happens.

Watch the following highlights :

Bull fighting is a very dangerous yet professional act, accidents can happen anytime.

And one last thing - Men are men. Cow is cow. Bull is bull. Women should never be a bullfighter.

With the help of our tour guide Mr Ong - well equiped with his own GPS, we managed to find the other attraction places including the bear and tree without any difficulty.

Our night ended with tasting paella for the first time in spain.

Everyone seemed busy thinking of what to eat :

There are only 6 choices to choose from - the famous one is the seafood paella.

And we ordered a jar of local fruit wine to be shared - Sangria.

Finally, it is my black squid paella. It doesnt look very inviting and tasted so so nia larh. Go for seafood paella better.

马德里不思议 Real Madid - GG-ied.

A stay in St Maur Hotel

If you are living in United Kingdom and are looking for a place to relax, perhaps you might be interested to pay a visit to Isle of Wight Hotel 3 things that you will like most about this place - good food, comfortable surroundings and a friendly atmostphere.

Okay, so what do you do in Isle of Wight? You can visit the sandy beach, lie down along the beach to catch some sunshine, walk along the traditional English country side or just sit down and relax in the hotel while being served with hearty full English breakfast.

There is a beautiful subtropical garden - many different species of flowers available in the garden such as tulips, Echuims from the Canary Islands, different colors of Cannas, Dicksonia Antarcitica and many types of palms.

how to fully utilise your living room

Guys, what do you like most to do in the living room?

Eating? Sleeping? Tv-ing? Chatting?

As for us, we do DOTA-ing during the night.

As usual, my friends are all very anti-picturing wan, coz they know i will post the best/worst pics up to my blog one day. haha.

Okay jokes aside. Lets be serious. The big dining table is just right to seat 8 people for dinner. But for dota, how can we fit 10 ppl all in one common living room?

1,2,3,4,5,6,7????

What 7 people nia mah? Nani?

2 more here mah!

And i was taking pic at that time. So just nice to seat 10 people you know.

Okay, so that was our last dota session for 10people just 30 mins before actual degree results were released on the 4th of june.

Juniors, do invite us for a friendly session during the next weekend okay? wahahah :P

Back to jbc again

Back to 4th June, when the results were released at about 4.30pm, we congratulated each other for passing the mpharm course. It was a big relief that i passed my cpp. phew pheWww. I was really glad to check my results before i fly.

Congratulations to everyone and myself :)

Say GG to mpharm course of pharmacy, my 3 and half year of hardwork! WOoooOoohooOooooOOoooo!!!

After that, jian+pj+wm and i tapaoed china express for dinner. That was the first time i tried their food. 3.90 pounds for 4 spare ribs with fried rice was a good deal. One thing to bear in mind, that auntie in china express damn lan si lorh - when we spoke to her in chinese, she replied in english (all of us are clear that she can write chinese words). Then, the 10 of us picked up a train to prestwick airport to start our holiday journey to spain + portugal.

The first stop was at germany. We stopped by one night to have a flight transit to madrid the next day. Madrid is a dead city. Nothing much special over there. One big thing that we regretted so much was that we didnt buy the 'yellow cow tickets' outside the bull ring stadium to catch a bull fight show. We then went to barcelona -a must go place in spain and finally have some relaxing days in porto (the city of portugal.

Okay trip aside, will blog about it part by part later on.

I was back to jbc 2 nights ago after 8 days of holiday in spain + porto. The actual results for each paper were released the day before i came back from porto. I was really glad to know my own marks. The past final study break + final exam weeks were one big nightmare that i will not forget for my entire life.

But what is more worth memorable is that i met my lou poh again. After 371 days of not seeing each other, we finally get to see, touch, smell and hug each other once again. And this will gona keep going for several more months, at least.

Tadeang itu dia :

To my dearest lou poh,

With you,

life is full of excitements,

life is filled with dreams,

life is full of surprises,

life is filled with fun,

life is full of tastes,

life is filled with happiness,

Thank you and i will always love you!

we missed bull fight

We missed da famous bull fight in both Madrid and Barcelona. No faith. Hostel receptionist told us to get the tickets one-two hours before the show at 6pm, we got there early at noon, but all the tickets were sold out.

In the end, some of us paid 5 euros to enter the stadium for a random tour. Saw a few weak cows and managed to sneak into the ring and snapped some photos before we ciaoz...

Final preparation before spain+portugal trip

Looking at the 2 ready-packed full big luggages and a few boxes of stuffs, i have mixed feelings.

1) i only brought 2 luggages and one bagpack over to glasgow. One luggage with food, another one with clothes and accesories. How come now minus the luggage with food, but it still go back to 2 full luggages geh? @_@

2) I feel rather sad but glad at the same time. The room that i study, play games, sleep, skyping and do personal stuffs. Now i am gona say bye bye to my room. On the other hand, the end of my studies mark the start of the journey with my loved one. I feel very excited because this special someone is coming soon. :P

3) And this is my new place to sleep. :P For the past 3 nights, i have managed to curi curi got back to my own room and online + sleep during the late night. Wake up early in the morning and move back out to my new sleeping place for another 1 or 2 hours nap then.

4) Next, last sunday we had potluck again. We had ham choy soup, grilled chicken wings, tomyam spaghetti, Ginger chicken, Brococoli, eggs with tuna and red beans+black beans soup. :)

5) They all just burst their laughter at the perfect time for me to snap this picture. But what is it so funny again? I cant remember.

6) The next day, the 7 of us decided to eat dinner together. So, we had potluck again with most of the food from the fridge.

The blue bucket that vyeaw and i holding represents edmond since he is missing in action. Nolarh, he is on the way back from portugal that time.

7) After the dinner, we packed our kitchen stuffs into boxes. Clear most of the useless things into bin bags. After hours of packing, finally we announced gg at almost 11pm.

8) Then, an unexpected climax occured. Our blur king hs has left the shower water running for at least 10 mins, to collect water in a bucket. Water began to overflood the shower room and then it wet the floor of the hallway, then into jian's room and vyeaw's room, and eventually caused water dripping down into the ron's rooms downstairs.

Ron made a complaint to village office and the representative staff arrived a few mins later. This is not good. H3 unit should be left emptied as none of us extend our contract there.

We were told that we will have to take responsibility of the damage done and to bear the cost to dry/change the wet carpet.

We tried our very best to absorb as much water as possible from the wet carpet. Many copies of yellow pages were taken (sorry juniors if you dont get one next time) to save the condition. We know clearly that there is noway we can dry the carpet in just one night but we still tried our best.

We have spent at least one hour to deal with wet carpet. Finally we admitted defeat to the wet carpet. Hs is very guilty and promised to take full responsibility of it.

9) Today was another busy day - we met up with Ronan Brown, the storage guy incharge to keep our stuffs when we are off to trips. There was a slight delay of time but at least one burden is down - we have managed to move all our stuffs into storage express in time.

Not alot. Just 16 luggages and 22 boxes nia.

We paid 20 pounds today for the collection of stuffs nia. The other 50 pounds or less balance will be collected upon delivery of stuffs 2 weeks later. Not a bad deal huh?

Btw, mpharm results might be released tomorrow after viva examination. It is gona be a very very very very very important day of our life. Good luck everyone! :)

George Sampson won britains got talent 2008

Dancing his way to the Royal Variety Show George Sampson is crowned winner of Britain's Got Talent

WowwWw! Congratulation to George Sampson for winning the final.

Last year, Simon was impressed with his performance but he didnt make it into the semifinals. This year, George is determined to prove that he can make it. George has a real passion for dance. This is showed when his Mum cant afford to pay for professional lessons, George dances on the streets of Manchester for cash to pay for them. And today, his dream came true by winning britains got talents. It is all worth for his hardwork. Congratulation to little George again! :)

In no particular order, Andrew Johnston, Signature and George Sampson were among the top 3 favourite from the 12 million people who were watching britains got talent final just now. It was really exciting tonight to choose who to vote for as the last 5 performances were equally strong and popular. It was rather shocking to see Signature in the top 3, but the famous Escala was not even in top 3.

Apart from George Sampson, among my favourite videos are Signature, Escala and Andrew Johnston.

Anyway, here is a quick summary chart of last year and this year britains got talent results :

Here is something really interesting -

1) Who is george sampson's gf?
- he is turning to 15 real soon on 29 june later. He is so talented in dancing yet so delicious and so yummy among the youngsters.
- ejie claimed that he has a gf so i went to look for the proof. And this is what i have found but wasnt sure whether this is the so called gf or not?

This is not the case. The problem lies with his fans. His fans love him so much that they started to make curse of this young gal who hugged his waist. -_-"

2) Is Andrew Johnston really a bullied kid from a sink estate?

- According to Daily Mail dated 18 April 2008, Andrew's mum admitted that the bullied story may have been over-egged. The show's producers will have to bear the responsibility for misleading viewers.

"I watched the programme myself on Saturday night," she says, "and I read the newspapers, and I thought: 'Oh my goodness, what will the neighbours think? That isn't the way it is at all." taken from daily mail

The truth behind it is that the bullied happened only in the past. Andrew was bullied mentally, not physically as what we initially thought.

"It used to break my heart. Andrew would come home saying he'd been called names because of the choir. They'd say he was sissy because he wanted to sing.

"At one stage, he wanted to give up the singing. I went to the choirmaster and asked him to talk to Andrew for me, to help him through it. I just didn't know what to say. Thankfully, they got him through it. Now, he's so glad he stayed." taken from daily mail
