Speed is the solution

"The gym will be open for free until this Sunday"

That was the reason which draws almost everyone to exercise recently. The gym was very packed. The swimming pool was crowded too. I have to queue for my turn to swim the other day. Speed is the solution.


I seriously love swimming. I feel very happy because i have achieved something from each swimming session. For instance, i am finally able to swim confidently in breast stroke for laps after mt last training yesterday. This is what we called 'from zero to something'.


Today, although it was heavily pouring, but i still dragged my sah poh to go to the gym with me.


So we did the 5km run again. My time was 26 mins (as compared to 27mins 30secs on Tuesday) and my sah poh clocked 30 mins (vs 31 mins on Tuesday). WOW. She is an insane runner man. Seriously, that was a good time for 5km. Tell her she is good. I seriously need to train alot more to hit my target - 20 mins for 5km. Yeap again, speed is solution.


Internet speed here is insane, especially during the night time, up to 1.40mb/sec. Im starting to worry about internet speed in Malaysia although i am still in glasgow now. I asked my bro to try download single part of a movie using rapidshare - he told me the speed read merely 30kb/sec. (maybe because my house uses a router?)Oh god. -_-" Definitely, speed is the solution.

Free entrance to Gym and swimming pool

Woooow, Free entrance to Gym and Swimming pool till 13 October - that was really a good news!! :)


My membership has expired. Another problem is with my student card, it has expired as well. But so far none of the gym staffs realised - means i can continue exercising for free.


Three purposes for doing exercise - to abort my 16-month-old tummy (16 months represents the duration of having it, not the size lol), to prepare myself for upcoming Genting Trailblazer (wei 14km run in Awana jungle, gg lorh) and to teman my loupoh (or rather she teman me to exercise?:P), for as long as my body can bear it (at least sampai the free entrance period over).

Oh man, my performance has dropped. Tummy is getting bigger and rounder. -_-"


I used to complete a 5km run on road within 22 mins but today i finished it on a treadmill with a time of 27mins 30 secs. The girl running beside me who started the run at the same time with me was only 400m behind me after 13 mins of running! That was really unbelieveable. I was shocked because she managed to follow my pace for almost 13 mins! I memang know dy wan - Should have forced her to run more during imu cup 2006.

I have been watching alot of movie recently, thanks to rapidshare which allows me to download good quality movie easily. :)


With a pair of free cinema tickets, sah poh and i catched Righteous Kill last saturday.

Many think that Robert De Niro and Al Pacino would produce a good film. I have very high expectation for the movie too. Well, for me, Righteous Kill is definitely a no no movie, horrible, enough said. I would give a 3/10 for overall rating.

The Colossuem's interior was divided into 3 parts - the Arena, Cavea and Podium.






The Arena had a wooden floor covered in sand to prevent the combatants from slipping and to soak up the blood. The Cavea was for spectator seating, where as Podium was reserved for emperors, senators and VIPs.










The Colossuem is in a ruined condition to date, which is believed that the damage was done by earthquakes and stone-robbers.

Due to the ruined state of the interior, it is impractical to use the Colosseum to host large events; only a few hundred spectators can be accommodated in temporary seating. However, much larger concerts have been held just outside, using the Colosseum as a backdrop.

The interior design of the restaurant is very beautiful. Be sure to make advance booking if you are going in a group.




The first time we went there was 2 months ago. We ordered Tom Yam with chicken, Thai green curry and Stir Fried beef with oyster sauce.




The TomYam was good. Stir Fried beef was alright, more or less like the chinese style food. But the Green Curry SUCKS man!!! Tooooooo much of coconut milk.




Then we went there for the second time.




This time, we had 2 bowls of steamed fragant rice with Deep Fried Sea Bass and TomYam soup.

What is travelling to you?

To me, travelling is both fun and tiring. Before the trip, there will be some 'homeworks' to do before you get to your holiday places. Lots of booking to make. And lots of facts and tips to read. During the trip, people tend to try their very best to enjoy themselves, spend alot to see and eat, and so do i. However, the presence of snatch thieves will always be one concern. After the trip, you will feel very much relieved of all the efforts that you have put in. Or rather, SATISFACTION is the word to use. However, you might not 'like' to walk around in glasgow anymore.

I will treasure every single moment i had during all the past trips.


What was i doing lately?

I am a 24hrs-service-typed-husband here in glasgow. No more working in glasgow. (which means $$$ going down everyday sobs) Anyhow, i am still waiting (already 6 weeks) for the small amount of $$ from claiming tax (i was told that we can only claim the INCM tax while NI tax is not claimable). Enjoy DAGEI very much while lou poh go for classes. Downloaded lots of MOVIESssss using rapidshare. Watch SERIESsss when lou poh back from classes. Absolutely LOVE swimming. ALthough my gym membership has expired, i will still go for beginner class each thursday, trying to learn as much as possible here.


How was the weather these days?

Hey people, although still sunny day today, it was damn freaking cold when i walked to the cal lab this morning. So i checked the weather forecast page. And to my surprise, it was 6 degrees at 10am lerh! @_@ Autumn began last monday, the average temperature these days is 8 - 12 degrees.




Oh NO! This time 'lai yeh' dy...

Then i bumped into a v.o. staff when entering my loupoh's unit. I hesitated and walked towards the letter box, checked and came back to the unit. DENG. I was questioned "are you staying in this unit?" I said "No, i am staying here temporarily." Then she asked "How long have you been staying here." So i answered "I was travelling around and just got here 2 nights ago, i will be leaving for trip again this weekend! -_-"
