A new beginning

It was a new start for me to work as an enforcer in Johor Bahru. I chose to become one. I thought it is interesting to involve in all kind of works, to learn the procedures and most importantly, to master the skill of being a leader.

I received an email from jabatan farmasi, HSAJB today, the email is as follow :

weekend & pub hol :

a) beginning 31/10/09, Prp in tdm to work from 8am-1pm instead of 10am - 1pm..u need to follow-up d case in d morning.. HAR? WTF?? WHY WHY WHY???
b) as mentioned, tdm service is close at 1pm..so if any emergency (poisoning case) tdm sample come after 1pm, its d responsibility of the PF/PRP working at Farmasi a&e (8am-5pm) to do d tdm..


c) those working in ward, there r some regulation u need to follow:


sila catitkan kehadiran anda bertugas, masa sampai dan masa balik dalam buku rekod di farmasi satelit WTTTFFFF!!!
sila catitkan juga butiran bil borang cp1 - cp4 yang diisi & bil kaunseling dibuat sepanjang bertugas pada hari berkenaan dalam buku rekod item

sebelum pulang, bawa semua borang terbabit kepada peg farmasi di a&e (yg bertugas 8am-5pm) untuk dicounter sign.. WWWWTTTTTTFFFFFFFFFFF!!

d) prp working in tpn, after u finish prepare ur tpn bag, pls call & inform pharmacist at a&e to come n check your tpn bag (extension number 2290).. Must be the frp's idea... this one is acceptable!



My friends arh, why last time working on call for ward is considered one of the best on call, now become the worst already lur. Sobs! Sat A boss told me the rules will be effective from 1st Nov, my only ward on call is on this Saturday (31st October), mou diu only. WooooohoooooOOoo! :)

Frp posting

It was such a big shock when we heard about the posting for frp-to be in HSA last Thursday. Out of the 20 of them, only 3 stayed in Johor, and bear in mind, they were the 3 married Puan wang, Colyn and Zafeera. 3 unlucky one were thrown to Kelantan, 4 to Pahang, 2 got Sarawak and the other 8 to Sabah. We are almost ready to lose all 20 senior prps.


OMFG! EVERYBODY was talking about it so seriouly that day. I went to the office to enquire regarding transportation of cars to East Malaysia and the staffs in the office were all shocked!


5 of them (zhi yang, choon sen, yan jing, kim yen and shirlene) will be flying to Sabah tomorrow morning.


Tan zhi yang, the person who had dinner with me ALMOST every single night during the past 8 months will be going to Sabah tomorrow.



He said thank you to me in msn, for 3 times. Of course, i feel exactly the same. I want to thank him for accompanying me for dinner, gym, lending forensic books for me, sharing thoughts with me and many more!!! Thank you once again. Gambateh in Sabah! To the rest of you going to Sabah, Sarawak, Kelantan, Pahang and other places, I wish all of you success in your career and stay happy always!

I skipped work for something :)

Today was my last day attachment to CDR (cytotoxic drug reconstitution) in HSI (Hospital Sultan Ismail). I had a great day there.

Mr Kv and i had planned a dagei trip since Monday. We asked each other out for dagei since at least 5 months ago and we always never make it. (you see how hard we actually get a chance?) However, our plan was stopped initially because Angela (Hui Hoon, who is the KPF of hospital kota tinggi) came back to HSI. Mr Kv and i decided to join the rest for lunch with Angela instead of dagei, although we both rated eating with Angela (3.5/5.0) and Dagei (5.5/5.0).


After lunch, the gals decided to go to Jusco Tebrau. That was the time when Kv and i headed to cc for our dota game!!!

We went back to work at 2.50pm (just 5mins late only leh), ahem (actually cdr nothing to do during friday afternoon one, especially now is Raya period). I joined the cpd session and grabbed a box of chicky meal (kfc set meal).

After we filled our stomach with kfc, we took our bag and headed back to the same cyber cafe at 4.40pm!

By the way, today is the last day of July according to chinese calender. Happy ending ghost festival!

Freaking alot of cases these few days. As cik Faiz decided to move next week's regime to this week.

2 days of CDR made me fall sick already man! I need some rest ;(

Ohhh Miiiii GOD

I came back from Hong Kong on Tuesday and i am curently working in out patient department (8am - 6pm). I used to have some negative feedbacks on certain frps but now the feeling is gone. They are much nicer than i thought. Lunch call today (12.15pm - 2.45pm) was quite relaxing. I took a 10mins quick break to eat my lunch (Jian brought lunch)and skipped my lunch break so that i could go back at 5pm. All out of sudden, an irrelevant news hit me at 4.50pm. (10 minutes before i get to go home, happily).

HSAJB update :

Passive call from 5pm to 8am for all prps starts today

Since i am doing TDM oncall tomorrow, so i will be doing the passive call (the 2nd white mouse) for that day. Which means,

1) i will work from 10am - 1pm on Saturday
2) passive call from 8am - 5pm on the same day
3) continue to work in patient on call from 8am - 5pm on Sunday
4) work in OPD 8am to 5pm on Monday
5) continue in A&E pharmacy from 5pm - 10pm and
6) finally 8am - 1pm in OPD on Tuesday
7) drive back to KL after 1pm

* Bonus * i will be attending a 2 hours Boxing class at Excite gym tomorrow after TDM on call.


All the possible bad words are coming out of my mouth at this moment......


How is passive call like???


I better stop thinking and getting worried about it.

Valentine's Day 2009 - Every staff from HSA was ordered to go back to HSA to 'Gotong Royong' yesterday.

I was placed in the outpatient department. Jen Inn + ah sing + me were incharged of changing ALL THE LABELS from the counters. 3 of us were under Pn. Farah (picture below).






We were given a short break at 11am - served with nasi lemak and orange juice.




It is actually a 'mission impossible' - copy down all the drug names accordingly, check the quantity, type the details in excel and sort them in a list, check mims for 'before food/after food', type the drug names again in words and finally replace the old labels with these new labels. After 4 hours, we only finished 1/10 for the counters. But the rest who incharged for the resting room and the 'papan kenyataan' have done a good job.

That was what we have done for 4 hours - we copied down approximate 2/3 of the drugs name and we only managed to make new labels for these 6 drugs shown below.

I was the first to reach tmnet yesterday's morning to enquire about streamxy. The day before i sacrificed my lunch hour to go there and i came back to work after waiting for one number to pass. All my efforts on streamxy were wasted - because i found an alternative to online.

I cant answer you right now because Pang (the salesman) submitted for Home Lite package (rm49 with 312kbps) for me instead of Home Plus (rm99 with 1.2mbps). I think the Home Plus package is a better deal compared to Streamxy Combo (Rm110 with 1.0mbps). I will definitely blog about P1W1Max again when my package has been changed to Home Plus in a few days time.

Sesat Jalan x3

I had a bad day today. Playing Daniel Powter's song...


I sesat jalan for a total of 3 times in one day. I went to putrajaya to check for directions yesterday with adam. The signboards are well placed everywhere and it is quite direct to get to persint 1, the main roundabout where all the government departments situated. HOWEVER, i missed the putrajaya turn after Puchong this morning. That was the first 'sesat jalan'. I reached SPA at 7.50am and ended up registering at 8.05am. My number was 006, the sixth one. I waited for almost 3 hours for my turn. The interview went quite smooth, it was a quite relaxing one. Everyone of us got some different questions from the pegawai. One interesting one that i got was what will you do after the 4 years? My response was "I will continue to serve for GOVERNMENT HOSTPITAL." Hmmmm. Another BARIA one, "what do you understand about stock management in pharmacy?" Yet another one, "What is happening in the politics today?" I mm zai larh. -_-"


We failed to get the offer letter today as Cik Zamzarina said the policy has been changed. We will have to wait for it to be posted a few days later. Then we headed to KKM to fill in the biodata borang. Another month or more to wait after this!!!


Then i sesat jalan again on my way to bukit jalil from putrajaya. I ended up paying extra rm3.20 for tolls and made a big U-turn to get on to the right way. Well, bor bian larh, pjee people sesat in puchong area. @_@


When i reached IMU, i thought i would be on the right track already. I am supposed to meet ai-lynn at her flat in Jalil Damai near Vista A. HOWEVER, i went wrong way and i ended up seeing a very familiar building situated right ahead of me - Plaza OUG. Sesat jalan for the third time on the same day.


I DAMN NOOB LORH TODAY!!!!!! geeez.





Oh ya, anyone wanna accompany me to go fish big PIRAHNA, rm10 for 12 hours at kelana jaya? kekeke.

Holiday pay from BA

If you have worked with Blue Arrow before, you should have noticed a small statement saying 'your holiday year ends xx/xx/08'. Have you wondering what is that?




As for me, i started working for Blue Arrow since last year, 29 Aug 2007. My first job was at Hamilton, working for almost 11 hours, together with Uncle lim, lee kwai hoong and su miin.

My contract with BA was terminated when i stopped working after new year's eve job @ tall ship. YES I WAS FIRED in march after failing to work for BA for more than 2 months.

Then i came back to BA in mid july 2008. I got a full time job in Morgan stanley from BA. I was being taxed excessively by working more than 20 hours in a week.




Two weeks ago, i enquired about holiday pay from BA. It is something like if you are working full time with a company, you are qualified for some days of holiday pay leave. Then i requested it and finally they have paid me for the holiday pay.



It was a 24 hours bonus holiday pay that they have included in my last week's pay slip. After deducting the payable tax, i received 90 pounds bonus from BA.

Blue arrow will be the main part time agency that most of you will be interested to go to. Its located on the first floor at 135 buchanan street, directly opposite Orange. Ring the bell and tell them you want to register for part time job. P/S : Bring your cv with you and tell them you have experiences with food/catering.

Advantages : Flexible. Tell them your availability and you will easily get a job from them, especially during the weekend. I have got both extremely good job (morgan stanley) and extremely tough job (hamilton) from them.

Disadvantages : Everything is in random mode (ALL RANDOM). No fixed working place. Sometimes you need to travel for 45 mins (to get to AYR) or 30 mins (to get to Hamilton). No fixed working time (as short as 4 hours up 15 hours max in a day). Some travel expenses are not claimable. (i pay 30 pounds for transport weekly)

p/s : i have worked 26 hours in a day before and that was not the most. I lost to someone else who worked 28 hours on the same day. lolz.


2) City G8

City Gate will be the second choice of flexible part time agency to register. Its part time jobs related to catering as well. They have alot of jobs in SECC/glasgow city hall (reachable by tube in 10mins time/walking distance). They also offer jobs during the weekend for Ayr/Hamilton horse races.

Advantages : very relaxing 4-5 hours job in SECC in the evening. You might be interested to catch one/two/more during your sem7.

Disadvantages : For every 4 hours that you worked, 15 mins will be deducted for no reason! they are very famous of "tipu-ing" at least 15 mins for each job that you have done for them. But dont worry, you can try to claim that if you want.

p/s : I only worked for City G8 once. I worked 4 hours but they paid me 3 hours and 45 mins. -_-"


As for permanent part time job :

You can try your luck ANYWHERE opening for vacancy, such as subway, burger king, mcD, topshop, newlook, sportsdirect, JJB, debenhams and so on. Many places are looking for people in october onwards as they need alot of part time workers for christmas sales beginning in nov/dec.

I am still with GoldFish

It has been a long time since i last updated about my job with GoldFish. I am glad to say that i am still with Goldfish (previously known as Morgan Stanley). I have been with them for 4 weeks!!!! My total payable tax has accumulated to almost 150 pounds over the 4 weeks. I have tried making calls to Hm revenue and the staff promised to send me the tax claiming forms but none arrive yet. The worry is that "Am i able to claim them back????".


Okay lets go back to Goldfish. I still have very nice scottish/english breakfast everyday.








And recently, i made myself some mocha ice in the morning too.




I was once very interested to work with subway but ended up with no empty vacancy to fit me in more ten subways around glasgow city centre. So i worked for Blue arrow once again since then.


And this is how the canteen looks like :




I was recently working as a sandwich maker for the past 2 weeks with Goldfish.


Let me introduce to you guys ----> MY DELI BAR :






People here can be very healthy at times, where approximate 50-60% of people working in Goldfish will order sandwich/baguette for lunch. That will make me goes extremely busy during the peak time (12-2pm). Frankly, I like to stay busy than have nothing to do almost all the time.


But the people here are considered very unhealthy at times also because there will always people requesting/shouting for - "can i have a bowl of chips please?".


One day, i was trying to be very healthy, but i failed. I had hot baguette with tandorri chicken and lots of salads (very healthy) + curly fries (not healthy) for my lunch. I heart curly fries.




Fish and chips is the most common food that you will see (at least twice in a week, fry with different types of flour). Another common food that you will find is pie -steak and vegetables pie.






At many times, i chose rice with curry over fish and chips.

Beef to go with black bean sauce is really a good choice. I love the combination of stir fried beef with black bean sauce + green peas + carrots + prawn crackers :




And to go with a slice of cake to make up my lunch -




These battered crispy chicken are very nice. =)




But this roast chicken breast is not so nice. =(




Fortunately, i have this slice of chocolate cake for the add on for my lunch -




On the other hand, at other times, i really got very sick with all the food, and i chose macceroni cheese, beef lasagne or kukujiao meal over the others.








There was this free food day again on wednesday. It was like the other day where we had a free bbq party for all the staffs. This time, we have macceroni cheese, chips, beef balti curry, rice, roast chicken + sausages with bacons + stuffings, some desserts and some fruit drinks.














I had a really good meal that day - fed myself with some roast chicken + sausages with bacons + stuffings + green beans + carrots + roast potatoes.



And a slice of raspberry cake.



That was not the best thing. On the same day, i received 2 free cinema tickets from my boss, entitling to watch any movie anytime in cineworld glasgow or elsewhere.
