ADV - File extension

Every file stored in the computer contains a file extension. File extension is the suffix of a computer file name, usually contains a short series of letters or numerals, used to indicate the file type and the software that will be required to open the file type. For example, the file name 'picture.img' indicates that jpeg part is the file extension img for that file. There are many examples of file extension, such as gif, avi, flv, rmvb, mpeg, m4a, mp3, rar, rm, wma, wmv, torrent, xls and many more. If a file extension cannot be opened in Windows, it might be a due to registry errors or not having the right application installed. And the best way to solve the problem is to run a registry scan.
