SPM results 2008

Results for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination 2007 was announced today!!

There is a 5.2% increase in the number of students obtaining straight As compared to the previous year.

Do you remember the record for highest number of A1s scored?

Is it 15A1s, 16A1s or 17As? Go search wikipedia.

Is it 17A1s by Nur Amalina Che Bakri back in year 2004? Yes that was the record. She is currently being sposored by Bank Negara Malaysia to study medicine in the United Kingdom. See? This is how famous you can be if you become the top student of Malaysia.

But today, her record has been broken by Azali Azlan from SMKA Yan who successfully obtained 21As - Twenty 1As and one 2A.

OIiiiIiiiIiMeEeeeHhhhhH!!!!??

Is it really possible to cover 21 subjects in SPM? I doubt so.

The educational director commented that he cannot control the number of subjects that one person would like to take. "We encourage students to take between eight to 10 subjects but because it is an open certificate, we cannot stop students from taking more subjects if they feel they can cope..." source taken from thestar online

Congratulations to those who did well in SPM!!!! :)

- I miss my SPM results -
